"End of The Rainbow" obviously needs quite a few Friends of Dorothy....(and more) to improve its grosses. Wow to "Lion King"! from RC in Austin, Texas

it should also be noted that both The Lion King & Wicked did 9 performances that week. And Once beats out Newsies for the first time. War Horse shouldn't even bother changing theaters, I think it's done.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

^He didn't take a vacation this week. Surprised it dropped that much. He was only out for 3 performances.

I actually thought the drop off would be worse given how many people I saw at the box office Wednesday evening.

It bounced back considerably but a few days of him being out and there was a noticeable dip.

I'm rather confussed how Harvey is able to sell 8,269 seats when Studio 54's capacity is 8,032 for 8 performances. Do they have standing room all of a sudden?

How is the maximum gross potential for Bring It On only $600,000, i know its only doing 7 previews , but even with 8 its maximum gross wouldnt be more than $800,000...and its playing in one of Broadways largest theater?!?!

Some pretty good numbers for most. Ghost may hang on into the fall. Very glad to see that Nice Work did not have a significant dip considering Kelli O'Hara was out all week.
The only review of a show that matters is your own.

I can see why BEST MAN is up so much this week, with Angela leaving.
Theatre is my life. No one can take that away from me.

Mary Poppins is holding pretty strong! I would consider seeing it if Maddy Trumble was joining the Broadway company and not the tour. Sad to see how Evita suffers without Ricky, as I really enjoyed the production as a whole.

BDN -- I'm pretty sure they have the balcony closed -- which would reduce the number of seats available. But you may be right...if you do the math, the potential gross would bring ticket prices to approx 70 bucks apiece. THAT can't be right.

But OUCH -- average ticket price is $45? That's a whole lot of papering!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

A friend of mine (who has many close friends in the cast of MARY POPPINS) was telling me that some of her friends were told by some higher ups in Disney Theatricals that they are expecting POPPINS to have at least another 5 years left in it. Kind of shocked me at first, but their numbers continue to look great.

^I'm happy to see Poppins doing well. It was such a great show (saw the OBC). I'm sure the current cast is great as well.

It's not even close. Lysistrata did far worse. Its gross potential was in the teens for most of the weeks it was open.
