"Chicago" is still doing fairly well, even with the weekly decrease. It's been a durable show for so many years. Yay! from rc in austin, texas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

I wonder what the grosses will be like for "Nice Work..." once September rolls around. It's probably making it's weekly nut, but I can't see it getting by in the fall.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

If you noticed, with the exception of Evita (ricky martin was back)and some of the shows that are closing soon, most of the sales were off this week. Even Newsies and Once were down for the first time as well as Mary Poppins, who has been killing it this summer. Dog days of summer will bring us into Broadway week, where the 2 for 1's will do very well. I think Nice Work will make it through..

Non-english speaking tourists.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Chicago is poised to take over as the third longest running musical in a few months surpassing Les Miz. Love it! Great American musical done bare bones. Then- on to overtake Cats for #2. It will never overtake Phantom, but 2 is amazing! Say what you will about the Weisslers, but they sure knew how to produce this one-and Fosse is smiling.

Dont forget that school has started across the States, as early as the second week of August in some cities/states, so that and people going back to work account for the drop. Happens every year.

Just wondering, why are there no grosses posted up for Chaplin the Musical? I thought the show started previews this week...?

I saw Chicago a couple years ago when Ruthie Henshall went in and I think I was the only person in the audience that spoke English.

"Broadway...I'll lick you yet!"
