With the stock market tanking get used to these figures. Will the producers wise up & hold the line on prices or will they continue jacking up prices despite what is happening.

Why is it that Wicked and Jersey Boys can keep consistently selling out or almost selling out week after week year after year through both up and down times for almost every other show? Is it just pre-bookings by tour groups or is there something more?

^^ I was looking for center orch tickets for Wicked in Jan and there wasn't any. People book them way in advance and it's not just group bookings.

I guess I'm one of the stoopid people since I like Wicked.

Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!

yeah that is pretty ugly, let's hope it gets better. I must say, Avenue Q and LB made VAST improvements

Does anyone think HAIRSPRAY is in trouble? Two pretty rough weeks.. very low average ticket price... and didn't even gross $400,000 this week. Has that EVER happened with this show?

Hairspray will be fine. It's just a rough part of the year. The only ones that we need to be woried about are ones that were doing bad BEFORE the slow weeks.
