When will the wind change for Mary Poppins?

How long can title of show run below 50%? Or 40%? Next week it could be below 30%. Strange.

The dip for Xanadu wasn't as drastic as I had feared. Hang in there, baby!!!!!

so, [title of show]'s $700 increase in grosses is a good thing. I guess we'll take what we can get for [tos].
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Even though the grosses aren't that great at this time of year, remember what that means for all of us tri-state peeps.....more good seats at our shows for a cheaper price! Let's enjoy as much theater as we can now before all the tourists come back and push us out of the way!

Now that's a positive attitude!

wow - several things not good with the grosses.
1. Anyone else do the math? At 8 shows and an attendance of 2,224 that works out to 278 people in the audience. Even though I really don't like [TOS] - I cannot imagine performing to a virtually empty house. That has to be depressing. How long can the 'little show that could' keep chugging along?
2. Equus - first full week and it is at 74% - anyone else find this strange especially since they found it necessary to overcharge for weekend performances? Guess no one wants to see the show enough to pay the premium? Wonder when it starts being pawned off at TKTS and TDF?
3. With the latest financial crisis going on today - I heard on the morning news that this will have a dramatic impact on both NYC restaurants AND Broadway theater. The grosses are only going to get worse next week, I fear, with so many people possibly getting put out of work.

I find it amusing that Wicked sold 29 less seats but only dropped $35 in gross....LOL.
Don't believe everything that you hear! Only the peeps involved know the truth!

I don't believe tos is playing to 30% capacity. That's just the gross. I believe they have been finding other ways to fill the house, no?

Don't forget the premium tickets that have that 'added' upcharge. Those premium seats are held until showtime and then sold as cancellations...the ticket prices are not as B&W as they used to be with discount codes, premium seats etc

What the hell is up with Mary Poppins!?
Good for LB bouncing back, good to see Whoopi leaving Xanadu didn't result in a huge drop.
VERY worried for Title of Show and getting worried for Spring Awakening.

Yes, they are comping like crazy. So while the houses may be slightly fuller, only 30% of the audience capacity actually bought tickets. But even still, its doing dreadful business. As for 278 people per performance, that's based on dividing the total number of tickets sold equally by 8 performances. However, if a show is doing 30% capacity overall, that means the weekends are higher, and the slower mid-weeks are lower ... so [tos] must have had performances with only about 200 paying customers, who probably only paid discount prices.

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I might be), but is the percentage of seats sold at Mary Poppins this week and last week the lowest for a Disney show on Broadway...ever?

People want to see EQUUS. $100 Average Ticket Price, people want to see EQUUS.

Good to see Avenue Q holding up strong during these not-so-good weeks.

Not that I'm wishing doom upon [tos] (far from it), but isn't the standard stop-loss clause three straight weeks under 35%?
