Barrymore's
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen." Conan O'Brien

Angus McIndoe (44th next to The Producers)- Riedel frequents here often also.

Orso (46th...restaurant row)

Hotel Edison restaurant (can't think of name now)

Vintage (bar on 50th and 8th) (great menu of exotic and strange Martini's)

these were hot places when i used to live in NYC last year.

For the cast of Wicked, it appears to be the ER at times . . .

re: Broadway Hang-outs

Oh my God, yes! The mcdonalds on the corner of 7th and 51st. Marissa jaret winokur uses that one and deborah s. craig. I tell you, I go there all the time and have seen more people there than anywhere else lol. Deborah said it herself when I told her I caught her there once, that its funny how a broadway lead uses the ATM at a mcdonalds to get her money.

re: Broadway Hang-outs

My TOP recommendation is ANGUS McINDOE - W44TH ST. next to The Producers. The cast of SPAMALOT and THE PRODUCERS are always in there. But I have seen Steve Martin, Kathleen Turner, Mathew Broderick, Bruce Vilanch, Willy Nelson and Luci Arnez just in the last few months.
Bernadette Peters had the launch of her last CD and her birthday party there during the run of GYPSY.
Angus is almost always there and is a great guy.

"I broke the boundaries. It wasn't cool to be in plays- especially if you were in sports & I was in both." - Ashton Kutcher

Relax with the "stalker" alert.

I just figured that Bway types won't chill where the food, drink and atmosphere is crap.

Does that work for you now???

re: Broadway Hang-outs

Barrymores ( I saw Jarrod Emick walk in, before the evening performance for The Boy from Oz, which was only a few steps away) - good bar chow. A great meeting place for a pre-theatre meal because it is on West 45th.

Angus McIndoe - the food was fairly good restaurant fare. Also, a good location for theaters nearby on West 44th.

Umm I'm almost positive I saw Stephanie D'Abruzzo in a deli near the Golden once...maybe stars get food in there? It's near all those theatres.

re: Broadway Hang-outs

Actors are at the ATMS at McDonalds because all of those ATMS have no fees for members of the Actors Credit Union.

Try hanging out around the Equity building ... re: Broadway Hang-outs
