Is "Legend" a generous term for Mr. Mann? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
What should we call people like Bert Lahr, Ethel Merman and Bernadette Peters, if "legend" is so casually used?

"Guy with name recognition in hyper-aware segments of the theatrical community" takes up too much space. They should have gone with "awemazing."

I don't even consider BP a legend.

Terrance Mann isn't, well I can't even type the word in the same sentence.
Sorry Nancy Zahzam (writer of article). How did you make that association?
Just curious.

Legend, my ass! He's such a zombie in everything that he does. He always seems pained in every performance I have seen him in.
Lots I could share.... but the association, Bulldog, is that Nancy Zahzam is affliated with Terry Mann's NYC theatrical programs there. Perhaps the reasoning for the "legend" title.

From what I've heard about Mann, what's legendary about him is his reputed "third leg." (Think Boogie Nights.)
i think terrence mann is a great actor. i saw him in les mis in the spring, and he was great
Terry is certaintly "well known" in the theater world and among his peers. "Lengendary" is a stretch for me personally. I've enjoyed some of his past works...SP (Chaulvin), B&TB ( Beast), Cats (Rum Tug Tugger) Les Miserables (Javert) but only the early days. His last strut with LM was so pedestrian! Many disappointed Terry fans!
Mr. Mann is marvelous!... A proven talent...but sadly, only when he chooses. I'm sure his program is very good and will do well...if he focuses and markets it competitvely. Again, just my thoughts.

Terrence is AMAZING!!!!! thats all i have to say.
I would never use the term 'Broadway Legend' for Mr. Mann.
However, I certainly would use the term 'Film Legend'.
Anyone who's seen that movie of ACL certainly knows that his and everyone else's performances are LEGENDARY!
Any performer that essays a role entitled "Rum Tum Tugger" is not legend material. Same goes for "Mefistoffolees" and "MacAvity". "Grizabella" perhaps, but only because she's a fabulous feline with a whore-y past.
But think of Skimbleshanks, rlb!!!
He's the cat of the railway train!!!!
Actually, I was currently in a reverie, recalling Growltiger's Last Stand. Ah, the ebb tide of emotion that sequence evoked. meow.
