"Next he/she will start blaming gays for [Clay Aiken's] problems. "
I'll even name names if you ask nicely.

Stupid question --
Does anyone know if the actors in THE SEAFARER and MACBETH wore mics?
I was very close for both shows, and never saw any
Are mics less common in straight plays? (and smaller theatres)
Thanks

I don't really think mics are used often in straight plays.
Also, I get bored....

How can you STILL pretend this bulls**t is real? Do your brains leak out the other side when you take it up the a**?

I agree with ko74612's lamenting the misuse of microphones by the soundboard men at the endings of songs. For me, the latest example was in the current production of GYPSY: the final note of Patti LuPone's rendition of "Everything's Coming Up Roses" was over-amplified to the point that it came off as her screeching the ending. That spoiled the whole wonderful song for me.
I can remember when all pit orchestras were actually in shallow pits, un-miked, and the audience was required to listen attentively throughout the show. Their reward was a natural sound that simply no longer exists. Today, every instrument is miked and has its own soundboard slider. My God, even the trumpet riffs in the overture to GYPSY were amplified! The musical theatre has been forever changed by the pervasive use of microphones, and not for the better. Audiences have become lazy listeners.

Once you're accused of posting false information by Marc Shaiman, everyone assumes you are the sockpuppet master. Don't worry about it.
Now back to the topic at hand... Cartwheel. Do you really stalk the threads, every day, waiting for a GAIKEN post? Why are you always defending him.
