Broadway Theatre Rush / Lotteries

dmwnc1959, Not sure where you looked on Playbill.com, but above Off Broadway rush, details all the rush, standing room and lottery for current Broadway shows. I find it better than Broadwayforbrokepeople. Sometimes their info is not accurate. if there is a show I want to rush, etc, I usually confirm the details on either the show's website or under special offers for that show (if it is Telecharge).

id rely on playbill more than broke people. the broadway for broke site isn't updated very often. They still have no info for Oklahoma even tho its been in previews for 2 weeks and has a lotto

I have several shows that I want to try and see in July for either the matinees or evening shows (Friday - Sunday). Of these, how would rate them in the order of probable ease to try and get Rush tickets without spending an hour in line or showing up at the crack of dawn...

- King Kong

- Pretty Woman

- Tootsie

Unfortunately I’m not on any of the three social media options they use to enter the lottery. May have to try my luck at the box office day of show.

I still really want to see BEETLEJUICE. However, the other shows don’t seem to be getting reviews worthy of pulling me off the street or out of a museum to spend three hours in a theatre. Disappointing to say the least.

Unless someone has better recommendations, or can rank them in order of must-sees, doesn’t seem like of the ones I listed are going to be worth $40 after all.

This it’ll make it easy for my Friday arrival, since I won’t get into town and done with hotel check-in until around 6:15pm. Then it’s a short 12-minute ride / walk up the #1 subway line to the Broadway Theatre.

I already have tickets for HADESTOWN and MOULIN ROUGE for my August trip. I just wanted to do something and see something very special on my 60th birthday and that all seems to be falling apart the more I think about it and read posts about the other shows.
