As I always miss the majority of the posts ... how about I start (or add on to) a game.

I was at work and I was thinknig, "Wow! Wouldn't it be great to see how much people know about Broadway, their musicals, their actors, etc.? How about this:

Ask a trivia question about something Broadway and then someone answer in another post and then the person who answers the question posts another question and so on. If the answer is wrong, someone repeat the question and correct it.

This should be fun...

What was the first show to recieve a Tony? (Too hard?)

Do you really think this is an original idea? Does your little chest swell with pride when you think of your contribution to the board?

There have been too damn many IDENTICAL question/answer posts of this sort already.

It's Gwen Verdon.

And the songs dismissed from Company were "Marry Me a Little" and "Happily Ever After".

Close, but no.

A hint: a frequent poster on this board has long used a photo of this performer as his avatar.

I have no clue about that answer, but I have a a triva question!

Who was the character actor that played Velma Kelly's agent in Chicago (The role was cut out of town) and what song was put in place of his one song?

The actor was David Rounds, and the song, "10 Percent" was cut. I'd guess "When You're Good to Mama" filled the spot?
