I have Adam Pascal's "Model Prisoner" (which I LOVE... and I'm eagerly anticipating his second) and Michael Cavanaugh's "Sounds a Lot Like Me" (somewhat disappointing, but not bad).
I want to try to get some more. Who else has good solo albums?
I happen to love Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley's Duets. I have their second album and it's good.. but the first one is much better.
Also love Susan Egan's "So Far"
Melissa Errico's "Blue Like That"
Sally Mayes "Our Private World"
to name a few
Has anyone heard Kristin Chenoweth's CD? I'd like to hear it.
I like Kristin's solo stuff. It's definately worth hearing (and buying)
my friend burned me a cd with a song or two of Kristin's. It's good.
What kind of songs does she do?
Is it original stuff or some Broadway songs?
I've heard a few of Michael Ball's, and I was a little disappointed. I really love him, but it wasn't entirely terrible!
I LOVE Idina's CD and my favorite Kristin song is "Girl in 14G"
Oh.. not Broadway, but Anthony Warlow's solo cd's are all incredible. He's flawless and I only wish he would do a show in the states
Besides Warlow's may CDs, Ruthie Henshall's "Pilgrim" as well as Lauren Kennedy's album are enjoyable. Philip Quast's "Live at the Donmar" is very nice as well.
oh also the few non broadway songs i've heard Gavin Creel sing on his website are great! i cant wait till his CD comes out!
Gavin Creel Online?
What kind of songs does she do?
Kristins cd has stuff from old shows/movies from the 30's through the 40's and 50's. It's great stuff, and she reeally shows off her range!!!
I cannot reccomend Idina's cd Still I Can't Be Still EN0UGH!! it's like NOTHING i've ever heard before, it's amazing!!!
I also highly reccomend Sherie's cd Men I've Had .Wasn't craz yabout it at first, as it's a very mellow, jazzy kind of cd and that's NOT wha tI was expecting. But it's very good, and really relaxing!!!
Bway_Mill_Fan, Idina has a CD? I know there's "Still I Can't Be Still" ( think that's what it's called) but I remember hearing you can't get it anymore. And when does Gavin's come out? I love him!
JoizeyActor, unfortunately I don't know the names of the songs I have, and I don't know where they came from. like I said, it's a burned cd someone gave to me. They aren't Broadway songs, but that's only like two. They're much more opera-style than most of what Kristin does in Wicked, but REALLY good.

I've really enjoyed Mark McVey's If You Really Knew Me:The Music of Marvin Hamlisch. It inlcudes both Broadway and film songs from Hamlisch. Some of them have very different arrangements and styles than I expected, but it grew on me after a few listens.
Personal favs:
John Barrowman - Reflections of Broadway
Ruthie Henshall - Pilgrim
Sally Mayes - Dorothy Fields Songbook
Judy Kuhn - Just in Time
Liz Callaway - The Story Goes On
Randy Graff - Doing Something Right
Jerry Orbach - Off Broadway
yes thats the cd i was talking about. a friend got a couple when she was on the Lillith Fair and gave me a copy. i'm waiting for the new one.and about Gavin's i dont think a date has been mentioned, but Kayla, who runs the site and i think is on here too, is very good about updating and stuff like that.

ALL of Bernadette's solo albums are great...Her Album Titled "Sondheim: Etc" for the GMHC is probably one of the best...she has a total of four...They are all wonderful!!!!:

One Broadway related solo album I love is Emily Skinner's self-entitled release.
I second Sister Woman Emily Skinner's solo album
Talk about versatility!
She's gonna blow that tin roof right off from under the cat in D.C. this summer.
How cum nobody mentioned Patti Lupone Live, thank you very much!
And Brent Barrett's Kander and Ebb album, which is magnificent!
Christine Ebersole has one in the works as does the devine Judy Blazer.

I love Adam's CD as well...did you notice that just about every single song on that album has something about "your eyyyyyyyyyes" in it?
Matt Bogart's Simple Song is generic, but enjoyable. (You know, in that, "I'm a pretty Broadway singing Soliloquoy" way)
Sherie Rene Scott's album is GREAT. I completely love her voice. She sings "Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters" on it...that's my favorite track.
Christine Andreas - "Love is Good". It's gorgeous, and I've listened to it a million times.

I love Idina's music, I bought "Minuet" on iTunes last night and have been listening to it constantly.
Daphne Rubin-Vega's demo CD Souvenirs is great, I think she writes her own music but I'm not sure. Does she have another CD?
Mister Matt, I must concur
John Barrowman's REFLECTIONS FROM BROADWAY (also his mini cd ASPECTS OF LLOYD WEBBER)
my other big fav is Matt Bogart's SIMPLE SONGS (and MORE SIMPLE SONGS)
A friend in London gave me Sally Ann Triplett's first cd and I picked up her new one while I was there
George
I LOVED Idina's cd. Unfortunately, you can't purchase it anymore. On amazon.com they sometimes have used copies (that's where I go mine), but I don't know why they don't release it anymore.
I also love Adam Pascal's album.
