Broadway at Thanksgiving

Hi everyone!

Just a quick question. In the week of Thanksgiving does broadway generally still run a full eight show week? I assume the schedule just might be a bit different? I'm coming over from Australia for a theatre holiday (fares are extremely cheap right now) so just wanting to check.

Thanks for the links LizzieCurry, I was having trouble searching on mobile.

And geez, I did do a quick google, but I was making sure it was the usual trend every year. Don't want to fork out $1400 AUD to be disappointed.

They usually do 8 shows that week, but the schedule is different. They may cancel the Thursday show, but add a show on Monday or add another matinee. Also, this is a huge week for attendance and grosses. May want to start early to get best seats.

Yes, often Thanksgiving weekend blacks out discount offers. But not of all shows.
