Harry's pecks won. LOL!
Corine, maybe your lack of success with men is attribruted to your inability to correctly identify key parts of the male anatomy. It's pecs. See, pec is short for pectoral. Peck is what a loud bird does to release her frustration. Hmm...
The "uhg" happened for me when Orfeh didn't get a nomination for Diva performance.
I loved TRAILER PARK too, but come on, it was open for what, 3 weeks? I don't think too many of the 14 year old kids in Kansas happened to be sitting in the audience at Dodger Stages during that short period of time. Not to mention that the actress that had the TRAILER PARK audience in the palm of her hand was Leslie Kritzer. The only reason SEE WHAT I WANNA SEE won Off-Broadway Musical was because Idina was in it. The Best Off-Broadway Musical this year was [title of show]. I would call Sarah Jones' turn the Best Diva Performance of this year.

These winners are very People's Choice Awards-ish.

Favorite Long-Running Broadway Show
Wicked
I just died right there...
You mean you honestly couldn't have predicted that?
wicked has won that award ever since it opened so no suprise there and the fact that it's still probably the most popular show on broadway should tell you it might win. as for the color purple i think it's awesome it won. people say it's overated but what honestly came out better than it this year besides Droswy?? and there both 2 completely different shows.

"Bree, there was that and the fact that now see what I wanna see won instead of (far worthier IMO), Trailer Park. You just know those crazy "you know who" fans sat around all day and slammed the site with votes. Good show, but far from the best. "
Right, I'm sure that made an impact, since you could only vote once per screen name and multiple votes from the same computer were also disincluded.
Can someone just please explain to me HOW they define "long runner"? I mean, yeah, these days 1 yr is great for a show, 2 years is wonderful. But I thought long runner meant more in the double digits, like Phantom, Rent and B&B? IMO, Wicked is just NOT a long runner.
I threw up in my mouth a little at Ben Vereen. How did he beat Aaron Lazar?!
How would you define long-runner, Lum? I don't think one year sounds right, but two plus seems valid. Very few shows get to that point.

I HATED Ben Vereen in Wicked.
Sigh.
Doesn't whoever's playing Elphaba win every year? I guess Julia Murney will get one in 2007.
I think that most people voted for Julia Roberts because it was the only actress they knew. The same about Wicked.
Foster - yeah, I agree, 1 year isn't enough. Apologies if I came across wrong there. I don't know, maybe my standards for a long runner are high, but seems like Wicked beats out the double digit shows every year. I love B&B, but I don't expect it to win favorite (I know I'm a minority LOL). But Phantom and Rent, IMO, at LEAST deserve a higher chance than Wicked. Like I said, my standards may be too high, but the true long runners are those who have survived for a VERY long time.
The "best supporting actor in a musical" category was pretty much actors who are not big stars. It didn't feature any huge Hollywood celebrity.
Wanna Be A Foster,
The only reason Leslie Kritzer had the "Trailer Park" audience eating out of the palm of her hand is because the she had BOTH of her hands around their necks demanding it. I haven't seen scenery chewing like that since... well, Beth Leavel in "The Drowsy Chaperone"!!! Those two fall into the "Do Not Work Well With Others" category.
