Actually, he doesn't look that bad. He even looks, dare I say it, good!

That's because the video is carefully edited. re: Broadway.com - USHER Video

Usher is proably some of the best stunt-casting in the past few years. He is pretty young for the role but, he is a very good performer.

his microphone was bugging me a bit (the long thin headset) but his "the" note is spectacular

"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel

He looks good. He went a little flat during Gun. I'd like to see him in this, however there seems to be way too much screaming from the audience.

The only good part was his High G. Though the F right after it was a little flat. But I'd imagine it's hard to get the F out right after belting the G for quite a while.

Otherwise I think he looks kind of foolish up there.

I'll skip on this. I'll wait for Bebe Neuwirth to see my favorite show again. Updated On: 9/7/06 at 10:16 PM

I'm impressed that he does the sustained note...can't say the same for Tom Wopat. He has my respect now re: Broadway.com - USHER Video.

He held that note well, I wouldn't expect him to do it that well.

Does anyone know who that is playing Roxie?

I don't like him much, but he has some talent.

That's Bianca Marroquin as Roxie.

Who's the male dancer to Usher's right in We Both Reached for the Gun?

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

I must say, he was not bad. Not bad at all. I don't know if maybe the "Razzle Dazzle" dance break has changed for all Billy Flynns since I've seen it, but I don't like how he brought his signature Usherness into the dance. He's such a great performer, but I'd like to see him be a different person once in a while. This is at least a start, and a very good one at that!

I'm not sure any of us really every questioned the singing and dancing - that is what he does as his "day job." I'd like to see the book scenes, or his interaction with the other actors. Id like to see if he gets some of the complexities of the character.

He appears to be doing wonderfully. My only qualm with him is how young he looks.
