I'm sorry but they need to give Sutton Foster some padding, she looks great but a push-up bra is not doing it for her.
Mullally looks fabulous on that dress but it doesn't make much sense for her to be sending off her fiance wearing that.

"I would think Elizabeth would dress a bit more practical and a bit less "cocktail hour" to see Frederick off at a sea port."
She's going to a cocktail party immediately after, remember? That's why she can't be touched.

Posted: 8/16/07 at 10:15amEverytime I see that picture of Andrea Martin as Frau Blucher, I think that she looks EXACTLY like Maya Rudolph [SNL fame]

I saw this show on Sunday.
The monster's makeup is horrible. Hardly green and looked like it was just smeared on him unevenly.
Rogers hair is actually bigger in the production..and it looks appropriate, could have even been bigger and still worked.(I adored him as Dr. Frankenstein.
SPOILER**************
Suttons knockers are small..small enough where they change the "My, what big knockers you have" line to "My, what nice knockers you have". Her blond hair looked a tad too much like Glinda's to me.

"She's going to a cocktail party immediately after, remember? That's why she can't be touched."
The adaptation of the story for the show changed that a little bit.
Elizabeth not being touched is now a reference to the lack of sex in her relationship with Frederick (they are both said to be virgins,) not her desire to keep her clothes from being tainted for a formal event as it is in the film.

so did they do away with the "Taffetta darling" joke???
Of course not. The entire sequence, starting from "Not on the lips" is there (though slightly out of order)

i swear if they cut the "not on the lips," "you bet your boots it does," or "taffeta darling" i'll cry for about five years, or however long the show runs.
btw, the line in the movie is "what knockers!" that's it! no big, no nice...he's looking at the enormous door knockers and inga mistakes his exclimation to be about her breasts. just being picky...many many people misquote that.

Inga: Oh, thank you doctor.

The costumes look very good.
Glad they are not afraid to let out photos like DISNEY on MERMAID.
Is Transylvaina Mania a real showstoper?
