Does anyone know if they're doing one this year? It's already the middle/end of August, and I haven't heard anything. Just wondering. Thanks!

That's because it is a FREE event in the middle of Times Square. Logistically, it is a huge event to coordinate, not to mention costly. I have not heard anything saying it isn't happening this year, but if what Smaxie said is true, that is probably why. I am assuming lack of information available means it is canceled.

Not sure of the reason why, but I've heard from a source who has worked on it for multiple years (and has gotten me to help out to) that it is not happening this year. I know this sounds sketchy, but there should be an announcement soon. Sorry for the disappointing news :/

Remember when their sponsor forced us to do a flashmob for spanx? Or whatever that leggings thing was. Hysterical.

The event used to promote many new, upcoming musicals. Now it's always WICKED, MAMMA MIA, CHICAGO, PHANTOM, LION KING, and maybe 1-2 new shows.
