Does anyone know if Broadway on Broadway is going to be aired...on television or is it just in new york, last year it was and i would love to see it again please write back or send me a PM thanks soooo much

Unfortunately, it won't air this year - there were some last-minute problems with the sponsor. Next year!

I don't think it will be. It's not listed on the TV Guide for the 20th.

Another question re: Broadway on Broadway...

Are the limited seats subject to anyone in particular, or are they available to the general public? How are they attainable if they are indeed open to all? I've always wondered about this while standing behind giants and getting pushed in the crowd.

I believe if it did air, it airs in the tri state area (CT, NY, and NJ).

Has it been confirmed what the shows will be singing and who will be singing what? I really wish Shoshana would peform on one of these "extra Wicked functions" instead of Saycon. I love Saycon, but she's already done a few of them! C'mon Sho!

Because it a such a huge event, usually the leads DO appear (aka Shoshana).
And there was a list posted of all the shows that will be performing, as well as a big ad in today's NY times arts &leisure section.

actually, a lot of understudies do perform during BROADWAY ON BROADWAY. this will be my 3rd year going and both have had lead understudies (Tracy turnblad and Kate monster to name a few) and im sure there has been more

Broadway on Broadway is the one event where all the leads perform. Idina was there 2 years in a row for Wicked, Hunter was there last year for Producers, Sutton for Little Women, Bernadette didnt perform with Gypsy, but she introduced it (2 years ago i believe). WickedShop, last year, Stephanie D'Abruzzo was there as Kate.

i think this was posted somewhere else but just in case -

according to tv guide's website, broadway on broadway WILL be airing this year on Wed, the 21 (instead of the traditional tuesday). i don't know why they moved it but i'm so relieved!

it's usually not the best broadcast because they cut off songs and things but at least it's something. i can't wait!

shoshana is performing. i was at the wicked stagedoor a couple days ago and someone asked her if shed be taking part in her fanclub function(there running some marathon i think) and she said no, because its on the same day as broadway on broadway.
