I am planning to go to a softball game this year for the first time. Does each show play once a week? Thanks

theres only a certain number of spots for teams, so no not every show gets to play. The teams will be set shortly and the season is starting early next month. They play Thursdays in three divisions usually 11,1 and 3pm games take place (@Hecksher Feilds) with the earlier time slot for the less experienced teams and the later ones for the teams that have been together longer. With all the show closings, Im curious to see what the new teams are like. I'll miss the Hairspray, Legally Blonde and Rent teams which were always fun to watch.

im guessing Billy & 9to5 & Guys and Dolls & WSS will make up for the loss of hairspray blonde and rent
which makes me very excited

Yes. I hear Angela Lansbury has a mean fastball, and they don't call Tovah Feldshuh "The Steal (ing bases) Magnolia" for nothing!

If you visit the website, you'll see that they had a "A:OC / November / Country Girl" team last year.

yes...usually. A schedule will be posted.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I got to watch a couple games back in 2007 and really enjoyed it! Have fun!

Opening Day - April 16th!
The first pre-season game will be played on Thursday, April 16th. Regular season play begins April 23rd. All games will be played on Thursdays in Central Park.

A list of this year's teams should be posted by the weekend/early next week. Please keep checking the website for further information, including schedule, time slots and field assignments for April's games.

Excellent attendance for BE team, but only 3 showed for TLK and so they decided to practice.

David Larsen was there and played (and also BE's team manager from what I was told). Didn't readily recognize any other cast. It appears there were mostly crew on the team.

You'd think with that big cast they'd have more playing. I remember during DRS, Greg played for their team. Of course, time passes ....
