I'm actually going to be in town for B'way Bares this year and was curious: Does anyone remember how long the show runs? I know it's been a year....figured it was worth a shot to find out!

I was thinking the same thing...I know that they have to clear the venue before the second show.

Anyone with a great memory from last year???

A foot long (pun intended).

The first show starts at 9:30 and runs approximately until 10:45-11pm when they have a small speech which is promptly followed by the rotations to collect money. Those rotations go on until the money stops being 'collected' which is fairly close to 11:45. Keep in mind that a good deal of the crowd is leaving once they make their donation so it is thinning out quickly. This hardly leaves time for the performers to get ready for the midnight show once they receive the in between show 'cheers' while the midnight crowd is flowing in. It all just happens like clockwork!

I used to participate in the show and volunteered for many years in the VIP room. I continued going to see the show several years after I stopped volunteering. If you have never seen the show - then by all means GO! You will have a fantastic time. I do not have a preference for one over the other - 9:30 vs midnight.

I was involved with the show back when Jerry used to do all of the choreography himself. Then the choreography was handed down to others. Now several years later, with many different choreographers, I really do not enjoy the show. The impact is not the same. The past 2 years I went because the themes chosen sounded incredible but I left horribly disappointed. I think I am going to try to stick with my decision not to go.

In September I am going to Las Vegas to see how Jerry has moved Broadway Bares to Las Vegas as Peep Show.

If you are on the fence about going to Broadway Bares this year - go! It is a great event for a great cause.

How could you be horribly disappointed? It's not, nor has it ever been, high art. Yes, there have been some amazing and beautiful numbers throughout the years, but please call a spade a spade. You see hot bodies and you give money to a great cause. The art is really secondary, isn't it? Obviously you disagree, but to the point where you don't enjoy the show because the choreography had declined and you don't go anymore?

I'll take that show over half the legit shows on Broadway.

I've heard that a certain well-known male performer will be appearing at the midnight show only. And the source was in a position to know.

I loved the concept of the show last year and the writing by Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell.

And I thought the Tweedledee/Tweedledum number was my favorite number of all my years of Bares-going.

Does BroadwayBares ever coincide with Fleet Week?

Sadly I'm not around for Broadway Bares this year. Last year (the Alice in Wonderland theme) I went as a White Rabbit/Chippendales Dancer - I couldn't believe that I seemed to be the only audience member at the midnight show in costume! Would at least one audience member this year dress (undress) appropriately please?

Are there any age restrictions on getting into Broadway Bares?

Tickets say "must be 21 to attend."

I've never seen anyone get carded at Bares.
