so just curious - what did Brooke Shields say that got such an extended bleep when she was presenting?

I asked this also and was told, one S-bomb and one F-bomb.

when she was describing her opening number blunder, she said, "I thought they'd edit it, then I realized, 'Oh sh!t. It's live.'" then immediately followed with "oh fcuk!" in response to herself saying, 'sh!t'. at that point she just covered her mouth.

Good heavens. I had just assumed that the person manning the bleep button (or whatever it's called!) just panicked & hit it too fast & held it too long. I stand corrected.
