I still don't understand why anyone outside of New York would want to see this abysmal show. I understand some people like it, but I just can't see it doing well anywhere.

Posted: 6/2/06 at 8:21pmThe tour opens in Saint Paul in a little over a week, and for the past month they have been running a dreadful commercial featuring DeGarmo and Moore at least a dozen times a day. Often it'll play half a dozen times within a one hour period. I've come inches from throwing my television off of my balcony.

I wouldn't mind Making George hear that score Over and Over and over!
Without Eden it's gotta be torture!

Posted: 6/3/06 at 12:48amUh . . . why are there so many productions opening? I mean the show has a few good songs but the score/story/book were kind of mediocre and not really amazing enough to warrant three more productions.

Not many people.
It was a huge flop, Tiny. You claimed up until BROOKLYN's dying day that it was selling well, and that it was a huge hit.

Yeah I am not saying it was bad, I am just saying it wasn't really successful in it's initial run to warrant more productions. It was never selling to capacity, it got terrible reviews, it didn't last very long on Broadway and had zero nominations for awards season. So that makes it a hit? Sorry for my mistake Tiny-Toon

Actually, thats a lie munk.
I never said it was a big hit, it flopped on Broadway (a lot of shows do). Don't try to put words into my mouth.

Tiny-Toon, I don't think you'd remember me, but I met you at the Eden/Euan concert. You're a great guy in my book anyway.
I happen to love Brooklyn and so do a lot of my friends. You guys all have your opinions. Whatever, we all do. I just love how you live to come on to this thread and make negative comments about it. Sure it wasn't a Phantom or anything, but I believe it was the longest-running one of it's season...
