I'm with jenny - I saw him in Piazza and I can easily say he is way too talented for this crap. I know it's a job, but the sooner he finds something else, the better.
I saw him twice in Piazza and I think he'll be great.
"It was Tami Tappan Damiano who did the presentation as Glinda."
Wow, I saw her in Tick Tick Boom in L.A. and she was amazing. I wonder what she is up to now?
I'm looking forward to seeing Burnham in Wicked in March.

Tami just recorded 3 songs for a new movie called "Ready? OK!" I saw her in concert a few years back. David Burnham performed a couple song with her. They joked about Wicked being a big hit on Broadway - without them. Very cute.
I'm sure they at least acknowledge that "Wicked" may not have hit hardly as big without the Broadway caliber of its opening cast.
I wonder if David was up for Lt. Cable in South Pacific.
So I saw Derrick tonight and he was great--I'm still not sure how I feel about the role in general but he was good--total sweetie at the stage door.
I didn't know what to expect from Annaleigh but she was pretty great too.
And then there was Stephanie J Block. I have no words.
I found the Derrick's take a la Prince of Bel-Air, pretty refreshing....and if you don't like it, you can just watch a beautiful man in white thights, now that is a look!
He'll be a great Fiyero, and certainly one of the best looking

I saw him just over 10 years ago in Joseph in Toronto. When i bought the tickets i thought i would get to see Osmond (which i didnt care for, but wanted to see the show) so i was plesantly supprised to see this new David Burnham guy, cute as ever in his little egyptian lion cloth. For a while after that I wondered what ever became of him, such a great vioce. His "Close Every Door" nearly made me cry.
And i met him at the stage door, nice guy too.
I hope this leads somewhere, It is a thankless role, but the show is a hit nonetheless.
David Burnham is EXTREMELY TALENTED!!.....He has a voice that will leave you breathless, while sending chills down your spine...his acting carries so much emotion, and if you saw him as "Fabrizio" in "The Light in the Piazza", well you know of what I speak of. I am sure, without a doubt David will bring new life to the role of Fiyero in WICKED, because whatever David sets out to accomplish, he does....
This man's voice is of the highest caliber and he is so so nice and kind and grateful for his fans. His Debut CD "David Burnham" is a huge seller, and I highly recommend it to those of you who don't own it yet. Once you listen to it, you will never stop playing the album.
David Burnham was born with an abundance of talent, so for me, any role he takes on is going to be SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!! I am looking forward to seeing WICKED and to see how much charisma he brings to the role.
David Burnham is an artist worth seeing over and over again, worth listening too and if your able to become a fan, plan on a long run! David is going places and his star is shooting so high!!!!!!! His voice is so powerful and the depth he reaches, well you must see him to understand the beauty.
I am so happy he has another starring role on Broadway, this is where David belongs. He is AMAZING!

They got rid of the glasses thing sometime in the Piazza tour. It was like Clark Kent! But he was excellent in that show, nonetheless!
Glasses on....glasses off....Shirt on....shirt off......makes no difference....because when David Burnham sings....the world stills to listen!!!!!!!
He is SUPERB!

When he sings, I listen. When he kisses Clara on that bed, I watch..... with my tongue on the floor.
There were quite a few ladies in the front row of "Piazza" fanning themselves with their Playbill after that "bedroom/kissy" scene.....but how great was that....???
But I'll never forget the reaction from the entire audience after he sang his first solo "Il Muondo"... At that moment, I felt A STAR WAS BORN...there were times (since I saw this show, what 6 times?) before he even finished singing, the people were cheering, screaming, clapping and on their feet. Listening to the BRAVO'S was a thrill...so much energy and excitement. The overall power that comes out of his body..it was something to witness...just something spectacular!!!!
And when he came out for his bow at the end, that was the moment the entire theatre were on their feet again....this man is truly loved and adored, and rightfully so. No wonder he won the Helen Hayes Award! They picked a PERFECT recipient...he was truly the artist the world adored. Only David could be "Fabrizio" and he owned that role! I wish they would bring Piazza back..
David Burnham creates MAGIC when he sings...truly one of the most gifted voices on BROADWAY.....
Whewwwwww!
