Buying tickets a day ahead at TKTS @ Seaport

I'll be in NYC Thanksgiving weekend and wanted to check out the TKTS Booth at South Street Seaport since you can buy discounted tickets, a day ahead of time.

If I wanted to see 2 shows on that Saturday, then I'd have to go twice on Friday the day before - in the afternoon for Sat's mat, and back again on Fri night for Sat's evening performance, right? I'm assuming that's how it would work.

What have been your experiences at the Seaport location with buying tickets a day ahead of time? I would think the lines would be much less than the Times Square TKTS.

I've never gone down there to buy tickets ever, but I was under the impression that you could only buy the matinee tickets the day before there. Maybe I'm wrong.

Last I knew the Seaport and Brooklyn locations only sell matinee tickets the day before. Tickets for evening performances are only sold day of.

But you are right in that the line is much shorter.
