Though they're probably out enjoying themselves and pursuing other endeavors, list some of your preferred Bway actors and actresses that haven't been on the Great White Way for a while who you'd like to see back in a long-lasting, starring role.
Jennifer Laura Thompson
(of Urinetown, Wicked, last seen in Encores! Of Thee I Sing)
Brent Carver
(of Parade and Kiss of the Spider Woman)
Gavin Creel
(of La Cage Revival and Thoroughly Modern Millie)

Good topic! Mine would be:
Harvey Fierstein (Fiddler revival)
Andy Karl (Altar Boyz, Slut)
And I definitely agree on Gavin Creel.

Well, she was there back in July-September, but Julia Murney.
And Michael Arden. I miss him!

Unlikely though it is, I would love to see the recent Los Angeles production of All My Sons with Len Cariou, Laurie Metcalf, and Neil Patrick Harris come to New York. All three of them deserve to be here.

Lea Salonga, I would like to her she back on broadway as Fantine in "Les Mis." I am sure that is not going to happen; maybe if the revival last long enough, which it will not if Cam Mac does keep it limited to six months.
Another show I would like to see Lea in is "The Lord of the Rings," probably as Galadriel, asumming the show does make it to broadway and her voice fits the part and everything.

Audra McDonald. I know she will be here this spring in 110 in the Shade at Studio 54, but still.
She is one of the most celebrated actresses in Broadway history, I miss the days when leading ladies had a fabulous new show written for them every year or two.

He said he is doing workshops. Let's hope one makes it!
Would be nice to see Wilson Jermaine Heredia do more Bway. I asked my sister what he's doing now and she was like uhh...plumber?

Just a few points.
Brent Carver's currently up Toronto way being a singing wizard and all in "the Lord of the Rings."
JLT, I believe, mentioned she was taking time off after Wicked with the kid and family.
Heather Headley doesn't really seem to want to come back to Broadway.
It's a crime and a shame that Marin Mazzie, Judy Kuhn, Liz Callaway and Christiane Noll are not on Broadway right now.

GClef I totally agree with your first list! I met Liz this last year when she came to my school to talk to the MT majors about the business etc. She was performing in some big gala for the University and one of my professors knows her so it was so cool! What a sweet woman and oh so talented!
P.S. Dear Broadway,
Please bring Heather Headley back to the stage.
Cheers,
Christopher
