The cast of Lennon!
But particularly Julie Danao-Salkin (she's the sweetest!) and Mandy Gonzalez (also awesome and I particuarly miss her because she is the only one of the bunch I haven't seen since Lennon closed)

"Two Words: ROBERT WESTENBERG (from Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park)

"Come back Robbie. I don't care if you're old as dirt. Come back."
If 52 is "old as dirt," I hate to think of what comparison we'd get for Marian Seldes or Barbara Cook or George Grizzard or Elaine Stritch.

MusicalTheatre1 and Mammie:
Sandra Allen is currently starring in the tour of Bombay Dreams as movie star Rani. She is hilarious in the show.

Mary Stuart Masterson [small pic above on the left
] should definitely come back to Broadway, no matter if in a play or a musical.
At the moment she's busy with filming "The Cake Eaters", her directorial debut. More info on MSM on my website.

Posted: 6/3/06 at 10:07amNo problem, what was "Flower Drum Song" about? She is really nice at the stage door, and so funny and talented in this show. Her character in Bombay Dreams is very "over the top", she was hilarious.

muscle23ftl: "what was "Flower Drum Song" about?"
Revival/remake of a classic Rodgers and Hammerstein which Hwang updated. About Mei Li (Lea Salonga) who escapes communism in China, lands in San Francisco, meets and falls for a club owner's son Ta (Jose Llana) who is in love with Linda Low (Sandra Allen). Linda is an American Chinese actress, very westernized, very fashionable and over the top cabaret performer. She is known for the song "I Enjoy Being a Girl." The show opened at the Virginia Theater on Broadway.
I loved the show. Sandra owned the role and stole the show. Get the cd...she's awesome. Lea's awesome too.

Sandra Allen was FANTASTIC in Flower Drum Song. Good choice.
Broadway would be lucky to have her again.

Rose Sayer, I have been posting stuff about the Bombay Dreams tour since forever! of course it is Reshma Shetty, she is playing the role of Priya(the heroine) in Bombay Dreams, catch this show! she sings the songs beautifully and her dance number in the end is flawless, she seems like a very classy lady, she can really act.
