What's the latest on this revival? Anyone know?? I would love to see it.

Is there going to be a revival?

What revival? Of BYE BYE BIRDIE? A show that even in a recent Encores Concert Series incarnation failed miserably?

I dont think it's happening... a revival was being planned a couple of years ago and it fell through... The Encores version was terrible. I think it's really dated too. I am currently doing it IN nyc... and I personally think it's an awful show lol.

When I was at my Tisch audition last month they were holding auditions for Bye Bye Birdie in the room next to us... not very helpful sorry haha. But they had some great singers.

Northshore was also holding BBB auditions in NYC... It could have been for that. So far, there are no BWAY auditions going on.

i cant imagine a revival doing very well right now...just my opinion
plus i really dont like that show

Oh, I had read that they were throwing the idea around, perhaps that was for the workshop? I can see it might be dated for today's audience, but they said the samething about Hairspray and look what happened with that.
