I was certain there would be more press about Carly when she took over the role. I'm puzzled that there isn't more being said and written about her. Has the NY Times reviewed her yet?

She is a wonderful Tracy! I had the privilege of seeing her perform on Tour! She was really nice to fans after the show! Actually the whole cast of the Touring company was wonderful to it's fans! I might add Sandra DeNise was great as well! They gotta get her to B'way!!
Carly was great in this role! I saw her a few weeks ago, and I thought she did a really good job! She can really dance and sing.
I've witnessed her kick some major butt.

OH MY GOD, ARE YOU PEOPLE DEAF??? Here's part of a review I posted the other day -
"...Also, Carly Jibson as Tracy really got on my nerves. I don't know who told her to use that voice, but she needs to stop. She sounds like a whining 5 year old girl doing a Jennifer Tilly impression with a Fargo, MN accent and/or a southern accent. They switched back and forth at any given time."
Also, when she came out of the stage door, the little girls went crazy for her and she was very short with them and dimissed them quickly. And after that performance she just gave she wasn't in any position to alianate fans.
Matt_G- Where's your review? I didn't see the thread. Please post the link.

Okay, thanks.
The show can not be the same without Harvey and Marissa...it's impossible.
Of course it can't be the same. My point was that a lot of the cast just doesn't have any chemestry together and it's very noticable on stage.

I noticed the chemistry was lacking between Chester & Brooke, and Im happy to see Jenn come back. As for Carly, I posted elsewhere that shes a very good singer but has a little bit of an accent and can be jolting when she screams some lines 'amber von toussle you have...' but she plays the role very true to herself and perhaps its closer to reality with her being so young. I do miss all the jokes that Harvey emphasized with his deep voice but Mr. Mckean does a fine job in the role, taking it in an entirely different direction than Harvey.
Hmmmmm..........this is all very interesting.......
Matt - I can only speak for myself and I am not deaf.
I'm too close to the show to comment.
I'm seeing Michael and Carly in a few weeks, so I'll post a review then. As for Carly, what I've heard of her performing the role, she's the best Tracy yet.
Mistress- When you go see the LA cast, you'll have to post a very detailed review. Wait, aren't I going with you so I'll just post it myself!! HAHA

Jim, I posted a rather long review when I saw the show twice on my trip. I absolutely adored Carly. She definately owns the role. I thought she played better opposite Serge Kushnier than Rich Blake. Carly and Serge seemed to work better because, I think in large part, they are only two years apart.
I CRACKED UP at her "You have acne of the soul"line!
As far as at the stage door, she was VERY sweet and attentive when I met her. I actually had a very nice convo with her. 100% sweet and adorable and I am SO happy that she on Broadway in this role.

I dont think Ill be able to write a very detailed account of the LA cast after I see it, because as you know, I have a difficult time watching anyone else when Matt is on the stage.

I saw the first 2 performances in Chicago and I thought Carly was sensational. So much energy! She really connected with the audience. Now Broadway will have a chance to see what the rest of the country has discovered....Carly is a talent to be reckoned with.
I was pleasantly surprised when it was announced that Marisa and Matt would be repeating their roles for the Los Angeles engagement. Now if we could coax Harvey to join them. What a coup for L.A.!

I, for some reason, cracked up FURIOUSLY when both times I saw the show, Carly was dancing so hard, her bow flew off of her head!
These are the comments I expected to read.
I'm really glad you guys liked it. I might have seen an "off" night.
JIm-When is the touring cast going to be replaced? Didn't you hold auditions in SF recently? How did those go-please tell us about the new talent we wil see on the tour before we actually see it!-ok I don't know if that made sense to anyone besides myself.
