MCC should revive this next.
They could change the title to "Awesome Red Lighting Cue"
LOL My parents loved telling me the story of when they were dating and they saw a double feature at the drive in: A Bucket of Blood/Two Thousand Maniacs. They said it was the worst date ever.

Were you conceived at that drive-in?
Oh how I love 2000 Maniacs (nathc!). Herschell Gordon Lewis' finest moment.
Eh - saw the show last week and pretty much agreed with Brantley's take on it (though around here that may be the equivalent of blasphemy). While it's no longer Carrie the Train Wreck, at least two of the new songs were superfluous - the opening number about teen angst (who cares?) and the song with Tommy and Sue staging a mock prom. That and the fact that the telekenesis (which is half the point of the story) was virtually non-existent. Then again, the last fifteen minutes of the show made me like it; I was kinda glad to hear they extended the run. It was simply an interesting idea poorly executed - twice. Maybe this will give Witches of Eastwick its due - the staging at the Signature Theatre with Marc Kudish as Van Horne was fantastic!
