Good choices, I definitely agree with your pick for surprise. Spirited definitely caught me by surprise and was by far the best new holiday film of the year! That being said, I must disagree with your top pick. Into The Woods with original cast was by far the best over Funny Girl 100%. I am not gonna get into the whole drama behind that, but after seeing the amazing talent of the Original Revival company of ITW, I have to go with that cast recording. We will never see anything like it again.

Unfortunately, I live in Lisbon (Portugal) and I haven't seen any of the shows. I only listened to the cast recordings and for me the new ITW didn't bring anything new to the score. I still prefer the Original London Cast recording with Julia McKenzie.

The revival cast albums this year were all really strong. I too have to give Into the Woods some love. It would be my top pick.
