So happy to hear that they will be touring! It'll be interesting to see who is cast in the touring production...
I can see Kyle Riabko as Frank Jr...just a thought lol.
I can too, but can he hit the notes 8 shows a week? He has a great voice but I can't imagine it sounding great in the high notes.

Some people might say he doesn't have the charisma/acting skills necessary to carry the show, but I disagree.

I'd actually like to see Jay Armstrong Johnson. Not to say that I think he'll get the tour, but I hope he takes over the role at some point either on Broadway or on tour. I'd like to see him play Frank.

I think when Jay has some time with the role that he will be amazing. Would also love to see Alexis Ellis as Brenda!
Have Jay and Alex both NOT gone on as Frank or Brenda yet? So Aaron and Kerry have had perfect attendance since the show has opened?
Kyle Riabko can no way sing that score, let alone 8 days a week

I'm sure Kyle Dean would just love to be following everything Aaron Tveit does throughout his career.
I'd bet money Jay does the tour. Perhaps if Norbert wins the tony the producers will try to make him do the tour.
No way Norbert would tour. With a wife, 2 kids, and a baby. No way.

I'm sure this will tour very well.

He toured with Cabaret right after his daughter was born, and he also toured with Dirty Rotten Scoundrels a couple of years ago.

Why do some people on these boards think actors/actresses with spouses, partners, and children don't do tours or take jobs that temporarily take them away from their loved ones? Check out any National tours' casts and you will find many married people, commited partners and parents. There are many reasons to do a tour. A good role, the money, (to pay for kids, they're expensive), some even to get away from their other lives.
There is a reason why Theatre people are compared to gypsies.

As incredible as Norby is, middle America don't know him, I wouldn't be surprised to see a lower tier TV/Movie actor in that role on the road. (you know, like a Stamos/Machio type).

Wish Aaron would do the tour, but there's no way. I think Kyle Riabko could carry it- he had my audience completely enthralled when I saw him as Melchior.

When pigs fly...saw it the other night- a freebie-thank God..so boring..knew from the opening number it was going to suck...awful score....the TV idea fails big time....cast was good but put this to sleep- which it will be by the end of June. Pure unaldulterated crap.

Great to hear they will be touring. I am a hugh fan of this show and hope to catch it on the road. It has everything I love in a musical. It will be interesting to see who they cast in Norbert's role.
The second viewing hooked us. I am a fan.

We saw it in previews at the back mezz and liked the show. Very solid show we thought. And last week we saw it again from the 6th row in the orch and were completely blown away. Bought the soundtrack and have been playing it the car on my 30 mile commute each morning and loving it more each time.

The cast is perfect for this show. It is hard to imagine anyone else in these roles.
We saw Aaron in Next To Normal and he is fantastic. I love his voice. He was a driving factor in choosing to see this show again.

And Norbert deserves his Tony. He is a powerhouse during "Don't Break The Rules" and the audience screamed, hooted and hollered for that number for several well deserved minutes. I can't imagine anyone else doing that role. He has spoiled me for anyone else I think. How they hell can anyone top THAT.

Tom Wopat was talking to people in front of the theater before the show and I loved how he was just hanging out. He can really sing and is so genuine.

Finally getting to see Kerry Butler live was such a treat. I think I wore out my Bat Boy cast album and I kept squealing inside "I got to see Shelly" :))

Unfortunately we were unable to stay after the show to meet the real Frank Abagnale Jr who was having an audience talk back. I had to drive home to CT and be at work by 9am so we ran out. We kept eyeing the audience imaging who he was.

Anyway, I would see the tour but I am sure I would be thinking it couldn't compare with the opening cast on Broadway. Great show.
