The ending would be much darker if Fosse were directing -- instead of Grizabella going up to kitty heaven at the end, she'd probably just be spayed and thrown back in the alley with the rest of the rejects ..... perhaps to the tune of "Bye, Bye Life!"

If Fosse choreographed CATS there would be a major dance "orgy scene" between Rum Tum Tugger, Grizzabella, Mr. Mistopheles, and Old Duteronomy while the other cats danced erotically around them throwing milk at them from their own personal milk bowl.

what Gillian Lynne gave CATS was an 18 year run. I don't think the material is quite strong enough to stand on its own without that brilliant choreography by Gillian. It's a fantastic piece of dance and it is, for some reason, always overlooked when the production is being discussed. I don't think Fosse would have been able to give CATS the energy that it needed in the choreography. he would have done the same thing he always did which was to give it the Fosse style which we all know. that's all he could have done. Gillian gave it a lot more than that. and she did give the show an orgy scene so spider your comment is lost on me... Updated On: 2/28/05 at 12:22 AM

It was a joke, CATS and yes it had an orgy but not with those exact characters I mentioned. That would have been HOT!!!!! I really like the Choreography that Gillian did. I think it was perfect for the musical. Again, this whole thread is just for fun.
