To many of you I say: "Get thee to a Music Store. NOW!"

I also own(including on my iPod) absolutely no Sondheim recordings-although I do at least know many of them,
and I have never heard(with the exception of a couple of songs):
Guys and Dolls,
The Producers,
La Cage aux Folles,
Gypsy,
Mame,
Pippin,
Dreamgirls,
Cabaret.
Yes, I know, it's appalling

I actually only own about 5 "real" recordings. The rest are burned from library copies. I know, I know, but I'm a poor kid trying to save up for college!
And I've never even heard Carousel, Evita, Mame, Pippin and some others...
*hides in shame*
Aida, and I didn't have Rent until 2 days ago ^_^
Mame
Fantastiks
Guys and Dolls
Carousel
City of Angels

I have, i think, something like 24 or 25 cast recordings. so there aren't many "great musicals" i don't have but there are a few I'm ashamed to admit i don't have. They are: Gypsy, Phantom, Cats, and Brooklyn =( oops.
"I own almost 500 cast recordings so I can't really say."
mmm... i only have around 300, so i guess there are a few i'm missing, eh? to you who keep whining about how poor you are- puh-leez! if you're that DESPERATE for money, be RESOURCEFUL. here are a few options i recommend for the financially challenged:
-buy the record. ebay and half priced books have vinyl copies of "older" shows from $1-$5. I go in and buy a few dozen. your collection will grow immediately and i will stop feeling pitty for your poor unforunate ears that have yet to experience- as widely confessed- Sweeny Todd and Chorus Line (et al). I have both on vinyl and CD and it was very economical.
-go to amazon.com used. you buy it used (useally about $10 or less), make a copy, then resell it for the price you bought it for. it's like getting a CD for free, and it's PERFECTLY legal.
-become a pirite! you too can be like johnny depp. yes, it's illegal, but disregard for the law is the spice of life! use soulseek or limewire and download your albums.
-prostitute yourself in the meat-packing district and use your earnings to pay for outragously priced CDs.
