Did anyone else get the Catch Me if You Can Mailer? It came with a CD with a few tracks...and of course I had to listen to it. I've never heard the music before, it sounds pretty good!!
I'm now on board and fully excited to see the show at the (seemingly) good discounts on the flyer! Who's with me?
I got the mailer as well but my cd had a huge scratch on it. The only song I could listen to was the last one. Fly, Fly Away. It was an amazing song.

Completely on board! The CD sampler closed the deal for me! Music is great! Also, it's a true story which makes it that much more interesting to me.
I agree! I was already in love with the song "Fly, Fly Away" so it's nice to have a crystal clear copy of it.

I wasn't taken or put off by it. Kinda ok, I guess.
Best o luck to Catch Me!
They sound like songs cut from Hairspray. Tuneful, fun, generic.
I do think so, yes. Except for Butter Out Of Cream, which (I think) is almost plagiarism. A great deal of it sounds like a direct lift of a Sinatra number, but I can't quite recall which yet...
Of course, there's no guarantee any of these songs will be in the show by opening. but, even if they stay, it seems like it'll be a bright, tuneful, fun, generic-pastiche score. Nothing wrong with that, but it's always best to call it what it is, rather than pretend it's something else.

Guarantee all of the songs on the promo cd will be in the show by opening (Live in Living Color, Butta Outta Cream, Jet Set, and Fly Fly Away).
