Are there any Company Tour plans in the works?
no idea, and i couldnt find any news about it! maybe i didnt look hard enough?
Most likely not
What they should do is have a really small scale tour and play extended engagments in major cities. But who knows

I can't imagine this show with a tour cast - if this happened, would they use the same actors?
they should extend the nyc contract until like mid august because im moving in a matter of weeks haha
If they did tour, I doubt they'd use the same cast. Maybe they should do a 6 month tour with weeklong engagements in different cities. I can't see this show having extended engagements in major cities. I doubt this is going to happen anyway, who knows.

I know me too, this is just speculation for our own entertainment I think, lol.
I would actually be interested in seeing another cast of Doyle's production of Company though.
The show couldn't find an audience on Broadway, so it's obvious the producers are keen enough to know that a non-existant audience is out on the road. Productions are created for various reasons -- one being to make a profit for the investors. The Broadway production's investors lost money.
A touring version of John Doyle's COMPANY is not and will not be touring. Ever.
I'm sorry.
very much simply speculation. its a great show, and id love the chance to see it
well, who knows really if this will happen besides the producers? I think it does have a chance since Sweeney is touring.
The SWEENEY TODD revival was a "hit" when it first opened and eventually recouped its original investment, unfortunately COMPANY never really found a wide audience on Broadway (though the people who loved it-REALLY loved it).
It's beyond me why anyone would think this show would tour. What sense would it make?
How many actors can they find that play 3 instruments, that will fit the available roles?
it's a nice thought to think that they would tour...
Maybe if we all wish hard enough it will happen...
Nah, it won't

lol jochang, thats exactly what I was thinking
"How many actors can they find that play 3 instruments, that will fit the available roles?"
I'm sure there are people out there who are capable of this who can fit the available roles.
Even still, the right actors being tough to find isn't the reason this won't tour. Why WOULD it? Shows tour to. make. money.
WHAT?! This is a business? Shows play to make money and be crowd-pleasers?! They don't exist to entertain rabid fans who buy tickets at a huge discount?! WHAT?! Those greedy producers!
Well, apparently people need to be reminded. It's so unlikely that it's a waste of time to discuss where they'd get the actors and whatever else. When it happens, I will gladly eat my hat.
I'll bring the BBQ sauce. I mean, seriously, wishful thinking can go too far.
On the Road Booking apparently is the booking agent for Company, so maybe there is a tour plan in the works?

If one is, I hope it materializes because I would love to see this production.
I'll believe it when I'm sitting in Boston or Philly watching it again.
