A lot of people seemed to be impressed by Joely Fisher's portrayal.
It was gutsy, and she belted the **** out of the score.

Brooke Shields wasn't very good. Just not the role for her. She looked more like a dancer in La Cage. Gina Gershon was daring and exciting to watch. Liked Michael Hall best of all as the Emcee. This was before Six Ft Under so it wasn't exactly stunt casting. Carole Shelley was fine but Mariette Hartley was my favorite. Dignified and heartbreaking. Dick Latessa was a touching Herr Schultz. Victoria Clark was an amazing Fraulein Kost. And, Kate Shindle handled herself quite well during her 2 week stint between Gershon and Shields.

I didn't see Jennifer Jason Lee or Teri Hatcher, but most people I know who did either loved them or hated them. I think they may have been the two most polarizing Sallys.
I still think Natasha was the definitive Sally, but Joely Fisher was damn fine in the role.
I still think that susan egan gave one of the best performances I've seen on Broadway. Ever. And I've seen a lot!

I think every Emcee, and I've seen them all, added something special to their performance. Except Jon Secada. He sucked. Oh, and I didn't see Adam Pascal so I have no opinion about his performance.

How were Lea Thompson and Natasha Richardson as Sally? I haven't heard a whole lot about either one's particular performance (which is odd, considering Natasha originated the role in the revival...)
Natasha Richardson was absolute perfection. Devastating, heart-breaking, I could go on.
Lea Thompson was very good, I was impressed. Her weakest link was her accent, it was awful. Tweaking words so it SOUNDS like an accent, but really isn't. But her singing and acting were GREAT. It's strange, her accent was bad but it didn't ruin her performance. Like it did for Deborah who was just uninspiring and awful. Lispy, too.

Gina and Raul were freaking incredible! When Gina came out and sang cabaret, it was and still is to this day, one of the most chilling theatrical moments I've ever witnessed. The best part about her Sally was that she actually looked like she was enjoying what she was doing.
And lets not forget raul, who was even more seductive than Cumming. His "I don't care much" was incredible, and not to mention that when he introduced sally for "Cabaret", it was f*****g chilling too, I can't get over how good they were.
Never saw Stamos in the role, but he's not that bad in the clip on YouTube.

^ I really liked that.
I think of all of them, Lea Thompson had the most solid acting, and sadly, no video exists (at least to my knowledge)
There are some clips of Lea singing a couple of Cabaret songs here: http://www.compz.cz/lkt/files.htm#cabaret
I think the performance of "Maybe this Time" is from Regis & Kelly.
