Can I permenantly disable audio autoplay when I click on a "latest news" article here?

Now when I click on a "latest news" article here on Broadway World I'm assaulted with an audio ad and AI that seems to think I want them to read the news article out loud to me. I've abandoned many other websites over the years specifically because of this.

I, too, have just noticed this today and really want to know how to disable it. I've already tried a few things in my chrome browser, but nothing seems to work. It is highly frustrating!

Noticed it yesterday when I opened a few articles. It would be nice to have the option to turn it on instead of having to turn it off if you don't want the audio.

it's heinous!!!! but knowing what we know about BWW in general this whole website will be AI very shortly.

That shouldn't be happening - our techs have paused the feature for now!

Thank you moderator. Hope it's gone for good (unless a user actively opts in to enable the feature).
