It's on TKTS-do I go or don't I. I have never gotten so many mixed reactions about a show!

This production is abysmal. I would stay far, far away.

I would also skip this. I left thinking less of the play, Clive Owen, and Julie Taymor - and I love all of them!

I’m going! 87 dollars, 4th row orchestra. Hopefully it will at least be an experience.
I have pretty much seen everything on Broadway so it’s not like I had a lot of other options! I’ll come back and give my opinion!

Enjoy! I enjoyed watching the play but mind you I knew nothing about the play at all though I am familiar with the opera Madame Butterfly having seen it before.
Also, I was late and the ushers let me in after the first scene so the first thing I saw was the performance of Mme Butterfly. I actually thought it was better for me to not see the first scene.

I liked it. It’s not the best play I ever saw, but the acting and story was very good. I’m not sure I’d recommend over other shows, but if you have seen a lot on Broadway it’s definitely a solid performance.
