Yes, the UK dates seem to be nothing more than a convenient warm-up.

Do you have any idea where they are going other than Paris? I know someone from South Africa who is keen.

Hey Guys! So excited to be having a new tour, I love the show! Just wondering if anyone knows how casting is working for this production? Any chance of open auditions like the previous tours? Anyone know where to send CVs?? Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks guys!

The first and only time I've seen it was at the Manchester Palace in 1992. Ria Jones as Fantine.

The first time I listened to the score I thought it was the best thing I'd ever heard. By the fifth time I'd listened to it I realised it was several of the best things I'd ever heard: West Side Story, The Most Happy Fella, many Sondheim and Lloyd Webber shows...

TheatreJoe, I think most of the principals have been cast and I would presume they are close with the others. I don't know about the ensemble.

I think Oh no! is a good place to start.

He's pretty inoffensive as a pop star but I'm not sure I want to see him in Les Miz (though as I have tickets already I don't seem to have much choice)

It will be amazing to see John and Earl together, and I thought Gareth was excellent in Joseph and his voice will suit the part of Marius. I'm a bit biased because I've always liked Gareth, but people who were sceptical of him in Joseph came away impressed, so I don't think anyone has anything to worry about.

Yay! Yay! ....ugh....

Ok, to be fair I expected Jon Lee to be a lot worse tha.n he was. But I just can't see him pulling Marius off as much more than a little puppy dog

Has everyone got their tickets? Birmingham went on sale this morning, and the website isn't coping very well so far. The Manchester Box office were struggling to cope with demand last week too. It's great it is selling so well and gives me hope we might get an extra few dates in the UK after it comes back from abroad.

Just a bit of an update, they were holding open auditions for chorus (I presume) at the WMC today, a friend of mine came up to audition and got seen, not great numbers for an open call her reports but thinks some did get turned away, they continue tommorrow. He heard that only the main leads have been cast, whatever that means.

Oh and while we had a post audition coffee Connie Fisher strolled by!

It seems the website has broken under the pressure. It's like the Swine Flu service all over again.

I'm going to Manchester, and I thought that was tricky, but this seems worse. My friend spent over two hours in a queue for the Manchester Box office on their first day. They shouldn't be surprised when this happens.
