Wet Blanket checking in here.
Does anyone else find this a drab idea for a musical? The movie was easy to sit through, but we knew how the plot was going to go within the first 10 minutes or so.
Plus wouldn't you at least want a couple of stars in the lead roles? Other than the director and choreographer, the biggest name is a very talented actress who has been performing for over 45 years.

well i think it should be funny, it will be drab if it isn't adapted properly and the songs are horribly written, but other than that i believe the wedding singer will probably be somewhat entertaining. They havent announced who's playing Julia yet. I think that's kind of funny that Richard H. Blake is going to be playing Glen, it just doesnt seem to be the right part for him.....

Posted: 7/8/05 at 1:34pmshe could be, but in a casting notice i read a while back, they said they were offering all the roles to all of the actors who played the characters in the workshop, except they were still looking for a Julia, and Amy Spanger played Julia in the workshop, so i believe they may have re-cast Julia.

Lynch rocks, so exctited! And he has a good-sized following, I think he can get folks to the theatre.
I wonder if they're expanding the role of Linda for Felicia, she was only in the film for 2 or 3 scenes. They also didn't announce who's playing Julia's cousin - blanking on her name - Christine Taylor's role. And what about George?? They have to have him in the stage show...
