thevolleyballer - i too have been awaiting the broadway theme

And the one that sticks out to most to me as having broadway potential is Paris as Little Inez

And I too think Mandisa could replace Frenchie

I saw Katherine in that production of Annie Get Your Gun last year, and she was very good. Also saw her in a musical version of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir at the NoHo Arts Center in North Hollywood. It's been a year, and I can't remember details, but I liked her acting and singing in both shows...especially AGYG.
I think she'd make a great Belle. She has "Disney princess" written all over her.

Cyndy-i am VERY jealous! though i am just concerned with something, is her 'musical voice' as mariahish as it can sometimes be on A.I? im glad to know that she can in fact act. hopefully we'll see her here soon!

and ditto for paris as Lil Inez. if ASU was still around, and mandisa a bit older, she oculd have been Sylvia! and please dont let the pickle on the stage! i dont know if he would be good as Boq, but Elliott reminds me of the character.

Kellie Pickler would be a wonderful Ado Annie.

Yes, Pickler could play Nellie Forbush... if the producers hired a tutor to explain what all those big words meant.

thanks cyndy! thats good to know re: Cast the Current Idols im surprised i havent heard about the NoHo show. (hey i rhymed!) i doubt you remember, but at the time, did she seem 'conceited' (@ bows and stuff) as people claim her to be? i hope not. if you feel like it, please feel free to expand on anything regarding Annie...
re: Cast the Current Idols

about lisa, i know she did broadway when she was younger, but would you guys say that it transcends to success as an adult?

Francis~I'm afraid I didn't have a chance to say more than a few words to her at either show, just the usual I liked the show/your performance kind of stuff, but she was friendly and polite.

In The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Katherine played Mrs. Muir's grown up daughter and had a real cute dancehall type number at the opening of the second act.
