Casting for Bat Boy yet?

I was just sitting hear listening to my Bat Boy cd and was thinking about how the movie was coming along. Anybody know of any new news or any casting for the movie yet? Are they going to plan on using original cast memebers from Broadway or are they going to mix some of the cast from London and Broadway? All I know is that I really hope they cast Kaitlin Hopkins to reprise her role on film.

I doubt they'd use the original cast... even though that is Deven May's part and he deserves to be in the movie... When I was doing the show this summer someone told me Christina Ricci was playing Shelley but I never found anything to back that up... I hope not, though. If not the original cast, I want them to use unknown actors. I think for it to translate well on screen you can't have well known actors, you know?

Yeah I completely agree with you...they SHOULD use the orignal cast because all of them are not well known and it will translate better, like you said. I really want Deven May and Kaitlin Hopkins to be in it...Christina Ricci would definately be interesting.

Interesting... yes... I dunno, I just want an amazing singer/actress for Shelley, It's my favorite role I've ever played so if they cast a bad Shelley the whole movie is ruined for me, frankly. Can Christina Ricci even sing?

Who knows, she seems a little TOO GOTHIC-Y for the part of shelley...( maybe thats just me) but I always picture her as Wednsday from the Adams Family...Do we know when they are planning on releasing the film or atleast a date for when they want to start shooting the movie?

Yeah, honestly, this may be one of the many movies that gets announced to be made but never materializes. I have a feeling it won't happen, but you never know.

Maybe - on the other hand the producer, Michael Alden, really put his money where his mouth was for the London production, so maybe he'll do the same for the movie? Cross your fingers!
