Tracy Jai Edwards also confirmed she is in the production thankfully!!
i wish i could be evion the other sorority sister/ manicurist
What role is Edwards playing?
I've heard rumblings she would be understudying Elle, but I'm not sure if that was right or if I'm getting her mixed up with someone else.
She didn't say but, she is very excited to start rehearsals.

That cast list from the workshop is old and only SOME of those people are doing the show. I know that Farah Alvin, Pearl Sun, Eisa Davis and Julie Garnye are not doing the show.
Pilar is a sorority sister and friend of Elle's. The girl they cast was one of the trio girls that was in Little Shop -- not sure which. Paulette is "unofficially" cast and it is not Rachel Dratch -- CANNOT SAY WHO THOUGH -- heard some PROMISING rumors though about the potential Paulette though.
Official: Nicole Snelson is playing Brooke Wyndham. LBB is playing Elle (as announced). Leslie Kritzer is Serena. Andy Karl is UPS Guy and other roles. Donna Vivino is playing Enid Hoopes (it was Enid Wexler in the film). Richard Blake is Warner. Christian Borle is Emmett. Kate Wetherhead is Chutney Wyndham. Kate Shindle is Vivian Kensington. Other cast members that I heard of are Michelle Kittrell, Rusty Mowery, Amber Efe, Beth Curry, Matt Reisch (from CHICAGO), Becky Gulsvig (understudy Elle), Gaelen Gilliland (WICKED) Lindsay Chambers from HAIRSPRAY is a swing and Tracy Jai Edwards (also HAIRSPRAY)is also a swing. I don't think Tracy Jai is covering Elle though.
I have heard other names kicked around but the above names are official I believe.
What about the mean professor?

I don't know about the professor.
Carla Hargrove is still in Hairspray so that means Trisha Jeffrey or Dequina Moore as Pilar. Both of them are great, and I also saw Trisha in All Shook Up. This looks to be a pretty good cast. Can't wait for official announcement!

One of my dad's students is, I believe, in the ensamble, Noah Weisberg. I found that pretty interesting.

According to his blog on MySpace, Michael Rupert will be playing the professor in LEGALLY BLONDE.

I hope this doesn't offend anyone but I've never heard of him. I thought they were going with Scott Bakula, who I *have* heard of.
hmm interesting choice. he looks great for the role.
He's been around forever, (check out him IMDB page), it's simply been a while since he's had a presence on the boards. Don't know much else about him. I'm sure he'll be fine, I just wonder why they didn't get Garber to reprise his role.
ruprecht, you must be really young.
Well, I'm not going to apologize for being young Doc but if it makes you feel any better, I looked him up and now know more about him than I ever needed to. :)

That's funny Doc. Really. FALSETTOS anyone!
Well forgive me for asking a darn question at least I'm willing to learn. Have YOU ever heard his name mentioned on this site or anywhere else lately? Jeez!
Also, if you do a little research (aka google) you'll find out that one of Scott Bakula's first shows here in NYC (back when before he was a TV star) was a show called "3 Guys Naked from the Waist Down" (recording available on Jay Records) which was written by none other than Michael Rupert.
Really, taking it too personally anyone?!

Looking forward to seeing this man on stage! My mom saw him in THE HAPPY TIME in 1968 and thought he (and Goulet and Wayne) were great.
Michael Rupert is a fantastic person and as kind as can be. The first Tony Award winner to ever "friend" me on MySpace.
Now he just needs to draw my name for one of his contests...
I believe Dequina Moore is also involved.
The addition of Michael Rupert has finally got me interested in this show. An incredibly talented and incredibly sweet person. I would love to see him in the show.
I just wonder why they didn't get Garber to reprise his role.
Ah, from your mouth to the casting department's ears, Al Dente. That would've been absolutely fabulous.
Finally heard the sampler last night - the songs are really catchy, and I can't wait to hear more when the show actually starts up.
Garber has a TV series on FOX called "Justice". The money's too good. Not going to leave TV to do Broadway.
