we'll see. There's supposed to be a Korean or Japanese production planned for 2018. We'll see if it happens.

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Not in a North American production. The show revolves around Price being a stereotypically squeaky-clean, perfect Mormon.

Of of course there are Mormons of all races, but for the jokes to land, he's gotta look like Ken.

The casting notices always explicitly describe the characters as white, so I don't think the production team has any interest in casting it any differently. I do think that having the characters be white helps the joke, especially for Elder Price) but I don't think the overall impact of the show would be very diminished if some of the Elders were not white. I think as long as the actors look preppy and squeaky clean, the audience can still get the point.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I think it'll work for the Asian productions. Not sure if it would even work in Mexico or Brazil. The show currently has productions on Broadway, US Tour & West End. The Australian production is scheduled to open January 2017 with the first non-English versions opening in Sweden(Feb. 2017), Denmark(Fall 2017) & Japan/Korea(201Casting question for book of mormon.

I think a non-white Elder Cunningham would work much better than a Price. It would be an additional "outsider" trait for him, what the rest of the Mormons on the mission being very white.
