What have they been selling on the tour? Do they have a new windowcard with the new artwork (pictured here)? Or are they still selling the old artwork?
I thought I read that this was going to be the first national tour in history to release nation wide merchandise in stores. I have since seen none of it.
"I never had theatre producers run after me. Some people want to make more Broadway shows out of movies. But Elliot and I aren't going to do Batman: The Musical." - Julie Taymor 1999
I saw this in Tampa, FL on Nov. 11th. The artwork from the first post here is on the windowcard. They dont have much merch just a few t-shirts (which seemed mostly geared at children),the windowcard, Dvds and cast album, some toy swords and fairy wands or something and that was basically it. The shirts with the new artwork were pretty nice, navy blue shirts with the artwork but they looked well made not cheap. On another note I found the show to be in amazing shape, if you are a fan of this production (essentially what is on the Cathy Rigby DVD)you will love it. Cathy still has it at 60 years old. The woman is inhuman. The show was an absolute blast! pure magic
In tampa they set up a whole queue line and Cathy had her own table and chair for signing autographs. She was in full costume and extremely nice, willing to take photos, etc. she even puts fairy dust (giant sequin glitter)in your playbill.
