There aren't any adequate words to describe Chad's last show. From the moment he entered the stage, to his final bow the energy onstage was incredible. There was so much love in the theatre that night...so beautiful to see. It was definitely my favorite Memphis experience, Chad was simply amazing. His entrance applause was unbelievable, as was Memphis Lives in Me....he had to wait at least 2 minutes to start his next line. And he got choked up during Steal Your Rock and Roll...both he and Montego were crying! It was so so sweet. Curtain call speeches were very sweet, and stagedoor was insane! Confetti, thank you posters, gifts...lots of Chad Love. He was so gracious and made sure he talked to everyone waiting for him. He really is incredible and I know a lot of people don't fully believe his injury, but he would not be leaving Memphis if he didn't have to. He has put so much of himself into Huey and the show, and you could really tell how hard it was for him to say goodbye. I remember originally reading that he was just taking a medical leave and would return, but now I don't know how that is going to play out....I really hope he is able to return to Memphis, or finds his way back to Broadway after he is rested and healed. Get well soon Chad :)
