Chances of On the 20th Extending?
#1Chances of On the 20th Extending?
Posted: 2/6/15 at 1:26amRight now it's closing on July 5th, but if it's an Anything Goes-like hit, do you guys think I would extend? There's a small chance I might get to see it in March, but if that falls through, I'd love to see it when I take my week long trip in September. I'd imagine Kristin is an even bigger draw than Sutton, so I'm guessing it will extend at least once, but the question is, how long?

Posted: 2/6/15 at 2:17amIt would have to transfer as another show is booked in the American Airlines theatre in the autumn

Maybe waiting until we see what sales are like or even hear what the show is like might be a better indicator of what chances are of an extension could be.

Posted: 2/6/15 at 9:28amI, too, am intrigued that the sales are on the soft side. On some level it seems consistent with B'way this season, i.e. the show isn't an event (except to places like this), and there's no specific target demo.

Posted: 2/6/15 at 9:34amI would imagine they've given themselves a bit of room to extend by a couple of weeks, but I doubt it would turn into an open run like Anything Goes did given that it's in one of their two main Broadway houses.
