Chances of getting Wicked tickets next week?

Hi there,

Got nephews coming in from out of town and they want to see Wicked. This really means tickets for at least four people. ANy way I can see this show and guarantee tix (i.e. no lottery) for four people without spending more than $150-$200?

OMG, total please. The show is not worth spending that much money on each ticket.

ok good because i was gonna say you were crazy to be willing to spend that much...
but honestly, i'm not sure you'll have much luck, unless you try something like stubhub...

Even if balcony or partial view orchestra seats were available (highly, highly unlikely), the total cost for 4 would be more than 150-200.

Edited to add: I mean, balcony or partial view orchestra for regular price.

Well, then they'll just have to watch it on DVD, I mean...when it comes out on DVD....:)

The stage-version will never be released on DVD. Until the film-version is made, that'll be the only DVD available of WICKED the musical.

How old are they?

Take them to see another more affordable show. There's a lot out there. Not only Disney and Wicked.

Im already taking them to see Avenue Q, they really like it, apparently. The only other show they mentioned was Wicked.

Any other suggestions? I might see if I can the partial view seats I got for Mary Poppins last time, which were pretty good seats, actually.

I recommend Spring Awakening or A Chorus Line.

A Chorus Line would be SOOO lame for them, It's incredibly dated...

and Spring Awakening would be out of the question for them, as their parents probably wouldn't appreciate it, but even so tickets for Spring Awakening are as difficult to get as tickets for Wicked, right?

The parents wouldn't appreciate you taking them to see Spring Awakening, but they would for Avenue Q? Oooookay.
