I'm wondering about this, too. Interested in reading everyone's thoughts.

What a mess that was.

Spoiler Alert (not that it matters). There's no show here. I left wishing they had done a revival of "Mack and Mabel," both of whom are major characters in the first act of this nonsense. I now know less about Charlie Chaplin than I did when I walked through the door.

On the plus side, Warren Carlyle proves once again he's the best choreographer working on Broadway today, but silk purse/sow's ear. Rob McClure is very good in a role that is completely underwritten. Christiane Noll is fine. Michael McCormick is no Robert Preston. (Why didn't they just do "Mack and Mabel"???)

The entire production is presented in shades of black, white and grey, which becomes tedious after the opening number. The musical numbers are nondescript, and there's a lot of singing about stuff that doesn't matter to the storyline. Mack Sennett sings a song called "Sennett Song," as the writers apparently couldn't come up with a title that was more interesting.

Unless you're a flop collector, skip it.
