Seymour/Audrey in the 'Somewhere That's Green Reprise' for obvious reasons and the Dentist, even though he was abusive to Audrey, no one deserves to die in such a slow and painful manner with someone watching and not helping you...
carla in nine when guido tears up her divorce papers. julie/billy in carousel. and both characters in L5Y
""the gays love their presents. just wave something shiny in front of their faces, you can get whatever you want. Thats how we got manhattan from the gay indians" -Karen (W&G)"
Peter in BARE. I actually had to mentally refrained myself from jumping onstage and giving Michael Arden a big hug at the end of "Absolution."

I can't believer i'm saying this--Tracy in Hairspray! But not the whole show. Just during the record shop scene where Link leaves her...it's tragic!! But then after that it's all good--seeing as the point of the show is she gets what she wants, and she gets the boy! lol
Ellen in Miss Saigon. When I saw Miss Saigon, people actually "booed" her during curtain call.
Yikes, that IS sad. Why did they do that? The character Ellen didn't do anything bad, it was all circumstances.

I cannot believe no one has mentioned Charity Hope Valentine, a heart-breakingly innocent character, almost like a fallen child. Her heart is broken so many time over the course of the show.
Same with Gittel Mosca of Seesaw: ***SPOILER*** What kind of cold-hearted person doesn't want to hug Gittel when Jerry Ryan leaves her cold?
I also feel sorry for Benny in Rent, when he comes out with the cast after the show, no one really wants to talk to him, is it cuz he's "yuppie scum"? He does redeem himself in the end though.
But I do agree, Ellen didn't do anything wrong....people were clapping but a few were booing, it's weird how boos can be so clearly heard through applause.
Ooh yea I feel bad for Benny, Joanne, Mr Grey, and the waiter because they have to be serious while watching everyone else having fun dancing on tables in La Vie Boheme
I also feel bad for any of the antagonists who get booed at durring bows. It's not their fault their character is a 'bad guy' and they are still very good actors/singers and deserve some applause just like the rest of the cast.
wow... broadwaybaby... i completely forgot the phantom too... seriously... and he's my avatar!! i seriously was almost balling the last time i saw it (which was the 4th)
Ellen in Miss Saigon gets booed for being the obstacle keeping the star crossed lovers, Kim and Chris, apart. We know who belongs together, and it's not Ellen and Chris. No one booed Ruthie Henshall when I saw it though! Javert in Les Mis was another character I think people booed. There are many more characters like this.
Benny in Rent - people don't talk to him after the show? Say what? I could talk and talk about his portrayal, but D'Monroe is awesome and everyone should talk to him. Seriously, one of the nicest guys around. Such a beautiful man. If people don't talk to him after, it's probably because they're hung up on the people playing the larger principal roles and frankly, they're missing out then. Their loss. Also, Joanne gets to dance and sing in LVB B.
amos hart in chicago (when played well) rod in avenue q mr applegate in damn yankees (i always feel bad when he loses at the end)
"Grease," the fourth revival of the season, is the worst show in the history of theater and represents an unparalleled assault on Western civilization and its values. - Michael Reidel
