"I was afraid we were about to turn into characters in a Mart Crowley play."

Charles Busch should be considered a National Treasure.
Agreed, i adored getting to know him whilst we were producing I was directing the UK premiere of Die, Mommie, Die and Psycho Beach Party, a wonderful and kind man.

I'm visiting New York in May - do you think The Tribute Artist might stick around till then?
I seem to doubt it would extend, especially that long. When Primary Stages did THE MODEL APARTMENT that sold out like crazy and they didn't extend that.

Great guy. Got to chat with him when we working the Innovative Theater Awards a couple of years ago.
Oh, I adore Mr. Busch. Great talent, great wit. Does anyone know if he ever tours or mounts productions in LA or SF? I don't think I'll get back to NY in time to catch this show.
He doesn't really tour his shows, he did a reading of Divine Sister not long ago that was recorded for radio

Totally agree about Charles Busch. I loved Vampire Lesbians in Sodom, but figured he must be some kind of weird person. When I talked to him after another play (only time), he was charming, appreciative and a total delight. Love my Charles Busch!
