OP, here's a question for you. Why are you so obsessed with former cast members of the most recent Phantom tour? What's the appeal? Once they leave the show you're obsessed with their lives and future careers? It seems like you're incapable of posting about something that doesn't relate back to them.

Sorry if that seems rude but I don't understand. I've been lurking for a while and have noticed this.

Well first of all,Phantom is only one of many shows I've seen live and second .I run a fan account on Instagram dedicated to the tour and just mentioned on here that Ms.Robbins auditioned .I'm actually curious to see who the cast is for the Charlie tour !

Charlie or Phantom ? Yes on Phantom(twice actually !) but no on Charlie.I've seen the bad reviews but the movie was one of my childhood favorites so I will most likely see the show in November .I' m just excited to see who is cast!
I know Jared Bradshaw, who was one of the Wonka understudies while the show was on Broadway, has appeared in character at a couple of Warner Bros. promotional events in the past few months. I don't know if this means he's in consideration for Wonka, but it would make sense seeing as he's already got a costume and knows the track. I'm hoping we get a cast announcement soon- I'm one of the very small minority that actually enjoyed the show, and I can't wait to see it again when the tour rolls around!
Any rumors on casting for the tour? Anyone here of any changes being made to the material/production?
My friend is in it. Not allowed to say who they are or who they are playing but they are currently in Spongebob right now!

That'll be the #1 verdict for me if I buy a ticket to the show when it comes to Costa Mesa next summer.

I already have season tickets for Broadway in Pittsburgh 2018/2019 and this is one of the shows, so I’ll attend either way.
We get it a few months before Costa Mesa, so I’ll definitly write something about it. Hopefully it won’t be a total bust.

But the shows I know for sure I want to see this coming season are Hello Dolly, Waitress, Dear Evan Hansen and Aladdin.

We had “Waitress” earlier this year. I’m seeing “Aladdin” on Sept. 1st and “Hello,Dolly!” (in Cleveland) on Oct 6th, but “Dear Evan Hansen” is the last show of our season on May 26th. In between we have “The Play That Goes Wrong” (National Tour Launch),“Anastasia”, “Fiddler of the Roof”, “Hamilton” (Angelica Tour) and “Come From Away”. I’m looking forward to them all. :)

Pretty sure Brynn Williams hinted at being cast in Charlie on Instagram.

“Waitress” was wonderful. I wrote a short review here in Post 81...

I remember seeing the post early this week.
To add to Alex M, 2 current Spongebob cast members are going to be in the Charlie tour. I wonder who their Willy Wonka will be!
My daughter just pointed out that Ethan Slater would make a great Mike Teavee.

Slater as Teavee should be interesting to watch. Plus I don’t mind that the four naught kids are played by adults.

Yes, it was easier to take an adult being ripped apart by giant, fanged rodents than had it been a child actor---the audience's utter shock after that scene was a sight to see.

I’m partially worried if I’ll get scared or laugh at the kid’s demises with how they are done on stage.

It was more of a "I can't believe they just did that in a kids' show" moment. Also, Violet blowing up off stage and her father covered in purple 'gore' had the same effect. Stunned silence, jaws dropping and then shocked laughter from a lot of the people sitting around us.

I rather point and laugh at them then walk out
